In addition to our high quality standards, Huvepharma® operates in an ecologically friendly way throughout the entire cycle of production.
Huvepharma® has built co-generation plants to ensure the supply of ecologically generated energy, steam and purified water for our production processes. In compliance with European guidelines, modern waste water treatment plants and a number of exhaust air filtration installations have been integrated into Huvepharma® manufacturing facilities, including the new production plant in Peshtera which has a CO2 reduction chimney to reduce emissions from the drying and granulation processes.
GreenBurn, our biomass thermal treatment plant, has been installed in our production facilities in Peshtera and Razgrad. We utilize the waste and biomass from our production processes to generate energy. We also use the energy produced as a by-product of pharmaceutical production in the manufacturing cycle. In addition, significant investments have been made and are ongoing into using packaging with lower shipping and disposable residue footprints.
