Product Information

AVERT® NE is a Clostridium Perfringens Type A Vaccine, Live Salmonella Vector. The vaccine is a Recombinant Attenuated Salmonella Vaccine (RASV) expressing Clostridium perfringens genes coding for an a-toxin fragment & NetB toxin. The vaccine has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy chickens at day of age or older against necrotic enteritis (NE) due to Clostridium perfringens Type A.

The only mass-administered vaccine available for controlling NE in chickens that has been demonstrated to meet USDA standards for purity, efficacy, potency, and safety.

The only vaccine for NE that stimulates an immune response against a-toxin & NetB toxin of C. perfringens.

Indication

AVERT® NE has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy chickens day of age or older against necrotic enteritis due to Clostridium perfringens Type A. Effectiveness of the vaccine against Salmonella has not been determined. Duration of immunity has not been determined. Precautions

  • Effectiveness of the vaccine against Salmonella has not been determined
  • Inactivate unused contents before disposal.
  • Do not mix with other products, except as specified on this label.
  • In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
  • Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
  • Federal regulations prohibit the repackaging or sale of the contents of this carton in fractional units.  
  • Do not accept if the seal is broken.
  • Use entire contents when first opened.

Storage & Handling

Store at 2º - 8°C

Dosage & Administration

Administer by coarse spray at day of age.
Reconstitute each vial of product with 5 mL water and dilute with water in an amount sufficient to achieve an applied volume per 100 chickens vaccinated according to the chart below:
