The Marketing and Sales Data Analyst position is responsible for analyzing large datasets related to marketing and sales activities. The role involves tracking the performance of marketing campaigns, forecasting sales trends, developing customer segmentation models, and creating reports and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders across the organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, economics, business, or relevant field of study
  • 2+ years’ experience in a data analysis role

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • User or experience with database design in Excel and/or BI tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate in complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing concepts and metrics

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to marketing and sales activities.
  • Forecast sales trends to predict future sales performance based on historical data and other factors.
  • Create reports and visualizations to help communicate insights to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Maintain and update databases, ensuring accuracy, and cleaning data as needed.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, product management, and finance to ensure that insights and recommendations are aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Stay up to date on the latest data analysis techniques, tools, and technologies, and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Engage in sales and marketing project management activities directed by business units, related to timelines and project status.
  • Liaise with finance or other departments as needed on special projects
  • Oversee internal tracking system of end-user contact information database
