Peachtree City, GA (February 18th, 2022) – Huvepharma® is pleased to announce that Ed Bell, Tracy Harris Ⅲ, Doug Rupp and Dr. Doug Braun have joined the team since the beginning of the new year. The company is confident that their expertise and experience in the animal health industry will guarantee that Huvepharma® continues to shape livestock solutions in the United States and around the globe.
Ed Bell joined Huvepharma® in the newly created position of Vice President of Operations on Monday, January 3rd, 2022. Ed is a BioPharma executive that has worked with companies such as SmithKline Beecham Animal Health, Pfizer, and Merck. Ed has an extensive amount of experience in leadership positions overseeing manufacturing operations, developing, and implementing business and capital strategy, and establishing an FDA Pilot Plant within an EU GMP facility. Ed’s most recent role was Executive Director, Vaccine Process Development & Commercialization with Merck. Ed received his B.S in Biology at Nebraska Wesleyan University and his M.S. in Molecular Genetics at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
Tracy Harris III came on board on January 24th, 2022 as Cattle Business Unit Director. We are excited to have Tracy join us as he brings a vast amount of experience in the Animal Health industry, including livestock animal nutrition and feed additives. He received his B.S. in Pre-Vet/ Animal Sciences at Mississippi State University and has worked with Roche Vitamins, Inc., Elanco, Norco Mills, and most recently with Central Life Sciences. Tracy was with Central Life Sciences for over 20 years and had sales management responsibility for the professional agriculture segment, including livestock feed additives, grain, and specialty products.
Doug Rupp, Huvepharma’s new Head of regulatory Affairs, joined the team on January 31st, 2022. We look forward to Doug bringing his extensive experience and knowledge to Huvepharma®. Doug received his B.S. in Chemistry from Rider University and has been working in Animal Health and Regulatory Affairs over 25 plus years. He’s worked with companies such as Alpharma, Bayer, Ceva and most recently, Pharmgate.
Dr. Doug Braun had his first day as Senior Product Manager on February 7th, 2022. Doug is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, receiving his DVM from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He also has an MBA from Marquette University Graduate School of Management. Dr. Braun started his career as a veterinarian for private practice, and then moved into Animal Health where he was a Senior Veterinarian for Dairy Veterinary Operations at Pfizer Animal Health. Doug took this experience and knowledge to brand management and marketing for Zoetis, focusing on Cattle, Pork, Equine and Petcare business units. His most recent role was the Director of US Customer Loyalty with Zoetis.
